Michael Thayer has been racing since he was 9 years old. First, Gokarts. Then at the age of 14 he was in full size race cars with adults. By age 17 he was stepping down the pedal of Late Model Race Cars. Michael attended Nascar Tech in Mooresville North Carolina and graduated from Hickory Bobby Isaac's Motorsports in Hickory North Carolina.

Last Year, Michael won the Jim Blount Memorial Race in Plymouth IN, after several close attempts in previous years. In 2013 he will run a limited schedule as he is busy making his customers happy at Mikey's Pizza Pit Stop.

Now a new generation is getting behind the wheel. Kyndra Thayer, age 3, will be jumping into her Quarter Midget for practice in Kokomo, Indiana this year.
